Toscanini have much more 'emotion' and 'kick' than the Karajan

Hello!!

I only have 2 CDs of Missa Solemnis - one conducted by Karajan, with the Berlin Philharmonic, CD released in 1986;
the other by Toscanini, NBC Symphony Orchestra, recorded in 1953, remastered and released in 1990.

The Katajan version feels like a casual walk in a beautiful park on a warm, lazy Sunday afternoon.

The one by Toscanini have much more 'emotion' and 'kick' than the Katajan one, however I have no idea what he is trying to say.

Therefore I was looking for other good versions to listen / compare to.
