I am indeed shocked and saddened by the news that your column will be
dis-continued soon. Hope this is not true.

I do not do paper cutting on column like this, and I started it about
1.5-2
years ago with yours on a daily basis.

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdoms and analysis over the years.
It's most educational and inspiring.

Again let's hope it's not true, otherwise we will be at lost every
morning.
Anything we could do to salvage this?

You are definitely not alone.

Dear Editor,

I am indeed shocked and saddened by the news that Leechardasks' column
will be dis-continued soon. Hope this is not true.

You are doing a great dis-service to both the papers and readers.

I had never not done paper cutting on column like this, but I have started
it about 1.5-2 years ago with Leechardasks' on nearly daily basis.
I find it most educational and inspiring - this just fittingly fills the
intellectual void for someone who is around 50, studied and worked
overseas for many years , and who in the past 20 years makes a living travelling
50% of time globally( a decent one too one hastens to add) using English
language on a daily basis.

Needless to say I have been a Mingpao reader for over 20 years also, not
for its news coverage(the weakest in terms of depth and breadth if I may
say so) but for the columns. I get my international news elsewhere from
the likes of BBC World Service or FT. Leechardasks' column somehow serves a
very good balance for someone like me with nearly half of daily living
outside of Chinese culture.

Again let's hope this is not true, otherwise we will be at lost every
morning.

Anything we could do to salvage this please?

PS I was not happy when you took out Tso Chip and, someone who wrote from
Silicon Valley a few years ago but I did not feel too strongly to write
then. I am sue I am just one of the many silent majority.
