In the *very* beginning, where corruption was visibly rampant in the KMT/warlords Chinese government, communists seemed to be a much cleaner and (therefore?) responsible authority. The sad truth is they never (back then anyway) were tested with the trial of power and money-and no one was blessed with the gift of clairvoyance.

Grim truth it is, but if the vision and intent are based on self-interest, all efforts will ultimately fail. There will be no exceptions.

你說得十分十分好。
其實，絕大多數在抗日戰爭或長征戰事中，願意「拋頭顱洒熱血」的犧牲者，都是不自私的。
問題是在於整個的思想網絡，無論是　kmt 還是　communist 都是在一種潛在的、斷層的孔子哲學裡進行的。只不過，kmt 採取的是西方的右翼思想，而communist 則是西方左翼思想。兩者同樣都是外在的，只是一種表面的政治結構改革。而在內裡，仍是在紅樓夢中到處見到的中國文化現象。中國人就是在這文化大廈裡居住的，是一群被閹割了靈魂的人。 沒有靈魂的人，無論披上甚麼政治外衣，都是行屍走肉。
所以說，文化是比政治重要的。
